Talk:Mobile (MUD)

Was thinking of moving/renaming to 'Mob (Gaming)' or something similar as, although originating from mobile, or mobile object, the term "mob" seems to be the overwhelmingly most popular form. Nobody says, 'Hey, lets kill that mobile object over there!' Also the usage is not limited to MUDs nowdays. What yall think? --Ajshm 08:38, 11 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Keep it where it is. I know on the MUDs I play we talk about "mobiles" and not "mobs", which would seem to be a hack and slash affection. Morwen - Talk 08:42, 11 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Still, the term is also used in MMORPGs (and sometimes in other computer RPGs) not only MUDs as the title suggests. I think ill create a 'Mob (Gaming)' (with links to this), and revert this one to be MUD specific as it says in the title. --Ajshm 09:03, 11 Feb 2005 (UTC)

I really think this article and mob (computer gaming) should be merged. They might be different words, but they're referring to what is essentially the same thing. The article should make it clear in which games you'd hear "mob" and which ones you'd hear "mobile". --Mrwojo 19:34, 6 Mar 2005 (UTC)
