Where's the RV party in the table?[edit]

Something is screwy with the table on this page. The article says: "The Radical Left party made the biggest gains of any party, although it remains outside the governing group of parties." The preliminary results have the entry: "Radical Left (RV) 307,306 09.2 +04.0 16 ". Yet in the spiffy table with the party logo, the Radical Left (RV) is nowhere to be found. What's the story? --Jfruh 15:02, 9 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Oh, I see now: the name of Det Radikale Venstre was being translated in two different ways. I changed the text to match the party's official translation. --Jfruh 15:12, 9 Feb 2005 (UTC)

It's a very important distinction. Even though the literal translation is the radical left the name is historical. They are not even a left wing party but a liberal party in the middle of the political spectrum between the social democrats and venstre from which they originally broke out in 1905. Just to make the sure there is no confusion about it. 195.249.184.249 00:18, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Faroe and Greenland[edit]

Which parties won the seats from Faroe and Greenland? Gangulf 11:46, 10 Feb 2005 (UTC)

The Interior Ministry website gives no information on that. Perhaps they are elected on another date, or perhaps they are not directly elected but chosen by the local legislatures. Adam 12:29, 10 Feb 2005 (UTC)

They are directly elected on election day. From Greenland Lars Emil Johansen from Siumut won one seat and Kuupik Kleist from Inuit Ataqatigiit won the other. From the Faroe Islands Høgni Hoydal, Tjóðveldisflokkurin won a seat and Anfinn Kallsberg from Fólkaflokkurin won the last seat. Isfisk 10:43, 11 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Danish electoral system[edit]

Has Denmark changed its electoral system? At the last election 135 members were elected at county level, and another 40 were elected by proportional representation at national level. At this election all 175 seats seem to have been allocated at county level, according to the figures at the Interior Ministry website. Adam 09:23, 11 Feb 2005 (UTC)

No, the danish electoral system is still a mix between county representation and proportional representation. The numbers you are talking about is the combined numbers divided among the counties. Isfisk 10:33, 11 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Then why doesn't the Interior Ministry give separate figures for the proportional seats and the county-level seats? How do I know who was elected for a county and who was elected on the national list? Adam 14:36, 11 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Later: Now I have found the place at the website where this is explained, although it doesn't tell me the names of the candidates elected at the higher level. It is possible to figure this out when only one candidate from each party is elected at the higher level, but not when there is more than one, as in Copenhagen County. Can you refer me to a list of the 40 members elected at the higher level? Adam 23:25, 11 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Dk-KF-logo nyt.png[edit]

Image:Dk-KF-logo nyt.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 01:46, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
