Books[edit]

Does anybody have the ISBN numbers for any of his books? Wikiacc 23:57, 27 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Many of them are from the pre-ISBN days. Wasted Time R (talk) 11:17, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Criticism[edit]

I found it odd that the entry had a picture of a book highly critical of White, but did not make any reference to the book or any critique of White in the article. I will attempt to write a critical paragraph of White to supplement the entry. Stancollins 16:11, 10 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

There. I thought the information was worth including. Stancollins 16:37, 10 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

A bit biased.[edit]

NPOV? Anyone? I am admittedly biased myself, given that I'm a big fan of his writing (he has a style that I enjoy immensely). However, really, look at this. An encyclopedia is meant to lay out the facts and allow users to draw their own conclusions. "These all make one point clear: White was a very close friend of Kennedy."? Then you have paragraphs on criticism of White, without even the slightest notion of countering that with positive things people have said about him. This article, as it stands, is not (in my opinion) encyclopedia-worthy; it's biased and not evenly distributed.

It's a good effort, but I honestly think it needs some work. I am going to attempt to improve this article later. Some specific things to work on: POV, more information about Theodore and possibly a small section about his writing style, possibly brief rundowns of what he's written, and definitely an attempt to remove conclusions drawn by the article. Not a bit biased, absurd[edit]

The fact that an article on a Pulitzer Prize winning author who changed the face of political reporting forever is more negative than positive or neutral is ridiculous. Worst of all, the picture of the article is of the negative book cover? How utterly distorted. This needs to be changed.

Further work welcome[edit]

I added a few sentences to the wartime experience, but it would be good to have more said here and later to present a balanced picture. cwh 04:08, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies: I made a few more changes, but will return to clean things up. cwh 17:36, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A few incremental changes. I will try to return again to make a balanced article cwh 17:24, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Theodore WhiteTheodore H. White — - [His books are published under the name "Theodore H. White". The external Pulitzer Prize site lists his award under that name. WP articles about him often refer to him that way. One of his relatives, in a history log entry, calls him Theodore H.] --Varlaam (talk) 14:04, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
