Earlier comments[edit]

Verdun is located in the heart of confusion. Criminals, miscreants and hard-core gangsters like Al Capone, Baby Face Casey, Usher and Li'l Tabbetha have the place on lock-down--trafficking drugs, exploiting under-aged sluts and doing graffitis all about the walls. Hide your wallets upon the approach--evil, devilish sinners infest the grounds. Poopy hound house diamonds show that furious wives eat so much asparagus that in time theyre own fetus' will turn to a burnt mush of troy. --198.168.48.22 17:45, 19 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Answers.com[edit]

why is this page identical to the verdun page on answers.com? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.68.21.51 (talkcontribs)

Answers.com is a mirror of Wikipedia. It would be more correct to say that the Answers.com page is identical to the Wikipedia page! --NeoNerd 13:37, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The city with the same name in France[edit]

Is this city named after the one in France? If so, it should be included in the article. Bourquie (talk) 08:19, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As is mentioned in the article, it's not named for Verdun in northeastern France, but for Saverdun in southwestern France, where its founder was from. - Montréalais (talk) 15:39, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Note on writing "île des Sœurs"[edit]

Note that the French name of Nuns' Island is written differently depending on whether you are talking about the island or the district. The island is called "île des Sœurs" and the district is called "L'Île-des-Sœurs", with article, capital, and hyphens. "Île-des-Sœurs" is not correct for either the island or the district. - Montréalais (talk) 15:39, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Streets or Avenues[edit]

We in Verdun refer to Verdun Avenue and Church Avenue not Streets. It is also Lasalle Boulevard. 2600:6C65:7E3F:A1AA:5804:577E:7859:5403 (talk) 19:49, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
