Is the material really graphite, which I would believe was quite brittle.

Are you sure it is not carbon fibre, which is very strong and light.

We need to mention the problems too. I have the number of birds they kill in mind. There are some pretty serious concerns about this. I'll see if I can dig something up. (Job number #16543 on my "to-do" list :( Tannin 23:25 Apr 1, 2003 (UTC)

In the paragraph about gyroscopic inertia, it looks to me like the article has horizontal and vertical switched around. Can someone else out there confirm either me or the article? -- John Owens 23:59 Apr 1, 2003 (UTC)

Why the redirect to an empty page? A more relevant destination would be wind generator. -- Tiles

Somebody had blanked the article to put that redirect in. I've restored it. --Camembert

In re: vertical & horizontal; the author is trying to talk about gyroscopic precession, which rotates forces acting on a rotating disk. He may not know the English words. I combined the article with wind-generator, and put it under the heading "wind turbine", which is the current professional terminology.

Sorry about leaving it out of service for a few minutes- I really did not intend to creat sabotage. See if you like wind turbine. The pictures need to be floated...
