I'm in the market for a tech-research-type job. Let me know if you're looking for a knowledge management, Web 2.0, detail-oriented geek who is eager to write about, review, and discover technical solutions.

Greetings! How can I help you? For those new to Wikipedia, you're looking at J. J.'s User page, much like any standard profile for multi-user computer and internet tools. See the Wikipedia:Introduction page to see how valuable is this user-edited encyclopedia.

Biography[edit]

Since September 2006, my philosophy on life has really changed. I've gone from Christian to Agnostic, married to separated, in a good-paying job to working only 30 hours part time, being depressed to being happy! I've consolidated a lot of links and thoughts on various topics at Zepfanman.com: When you can't find it on Google (my personal website). If you're in the Nashville area, you may be interested in my dating profiles page, too.

I grew up going to an independent Baptist church with my grandfather when he could get me to go. I made a profession of faith at the age of 15 and have been seeking out the ways of God ever since. In December 2003, I graduated from Vanderbilt University with a BA in Religious Studies and a minor in Computer Science. I worked as a systems engineer (desktop and network architecture) in Nashville for the conference centers of LifeWay Christian Resources. I'm now working part time in retail and spend the rest of my time contemplating life and relationships.

Wikipedia philosophy[edit]

As I move further along in life, I discover more about my passion for this world. Although I've passed a quarter-century (born in September 1980), I'm still searching for that dream job. In the past few months, I've really been trying to focus on why I do the things I do. As I've been working on my "beta" website, I've discovered that my journeys online are driven by unifying, publicizing, and helping people like you find information across the WWW. Wikipedia comes into the picture as an ingenious collaboration tool that fits right into this philosophy of mine. Please recommend other information-collecting tools you've found across the web (sites like IMDb, Rate Your Music, and a much needed book database are just a few examples to get your juices flowing).

Where to find me[edit]

I got hooked on MediaWiki-style editing at TheoWiki, but have found Wikible a better place to concentrate recent wiki efforts.

My personal site is Zepfanman.com: When you can't find it on Google; boasts a gallery, hundreds of link resources, and a blog matching the wide variety of my interests. In 2005, I started to let the site gather some dust, though, shifting focus to del.icio.us and other social Web 2.0 sites instead.

Contact me using the "E-mail this user" link in the left column toolbox here, or use my contact form on Zepfanman.com.

Peace to you all.

Users around Nashville[edit]

Feel free to add yourself to this list if you're in the area. For people across the whole state, put Category:Wikipedians in Tennessee on your user page. (Help out with Wikipedia:User_categorisation which outlines how to convert Wikipedians/Tennessee, for example.)

Other notes[edit]

Workalone Wiki - I'm linking to this here because Dom's job has been a pipedream of my own for a couple years now. Maybe someday I'll have my own design and tech help business! I'm starting small with a redesign of my own website. --J. J. 14:04, 20 May 2005 (CDT)
