Does anyone have any citation for the supposed Ireland reference? I've just done some googling and turned up nothing. At a minimum, this sounds like an obscure usage not worthy of a separate disambiguation page. RadicalSubversiv E 20:33, 6 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I was the person that edited to include the Debutante Ball reference. I can't seem to find anything on a quick Google either, but ask any Irish person that finished their second-level education, and they will be able to tell you.

http://www.libertylimousines.ie/sh785y.html shows an Irish limo company offering services for transport to such balls. http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=62720 is a sticky on a popular Irish bulletin board, talking about venues for the Debs.

In Ireland, the Debs is huge. It's the equivelent to Senior Prom

In that case, the disambiguation belongs at Debs, not Eugene Debs. I've put something there -- Google turns up a number of hits of "Debs" being used as a shorthand for the debutantes themselves. RadicalSubversiv E 16:53, 9 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
