This is an online discussion on how to help Asia deal with a true global tragedy. Thousands of people are dead and injured in more than ten different countries. What can the rest of us do? Can we come up with a focussed way to deliver genuine help without the trappings of multinational NGO's, government bureaucrats and all that media hype that surrounds public charity? Specifically, the HELP ASIA group invites discussion from everyone on the best strategies to collect, organize and ultimately distribute help. As a starting point we are creating a blog with news strories, survivor accounts and the real deal on what's going on the ground. Remember that none of us are immune to the unforgiving power of mother nature. The only hope we have is that other human beings will help us out...
