Number of employees[edit]

Q: Does anyone know how many employees (faculty and staff) the UT system has? This could be included in the main article.

UT Arlington last ties[edit]

Q: From what I understood, the University of Texas at Arlington broke its last ties with the rest of the UT university system about a year and half ago. Should it be included?

A: There were talks about UTA moving out of the UT System, but it still is in the system.

"University of Texas System" vs. "University of Texas system"[edit]

The "s" in the word system is currently capitalized. The convention for non-proper names is lower case per Wikipedia:Article_titles#Article_title_format. -- Marco Guzman, Jr  Chat  03:36, 30 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in University of Texas System[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of University of Texas System's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Motto 'translation' in infobox[edit]

The infobox on University of Texas related articles currently gives the motto "Disciplina Praesidium Civitatis" with the 'translation' "Cultivated mind is the guardian genius of democracy". That's an enormous stretch: the Latin means something like "Learning [is] the bulwark of the state". Apparently the English version was written first, and inspired the Latin one; but I think it's misleading to say that one is a direct translation of the other. Could the infobox be changed somehow to account for this—perhaps by using the separate "motto" and "mottoeng" fields? Cheers, gnu57 22:49, 22 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Colors of the seal don't match[edit]

The colors of the current seal shown on this page do not match those on the UT System website. The red background here is #d31145 but the official seal has a deeper #981b1e. Unfortunately it may take a UT System employee to provide a high-quality version of the official one, since it is only accessible on the intranet.
