North American travelling mode?[edit]

What does "North American travelling mode" mean? There's no explanation or link, and I haven't got a clue. Loganberry (Talk) 30 June 2005 16:05 (UTC)

I'm guessing it means that the incoming trains are to your left, and outgoing trains are to your right (\/ /\), as is the typical setup in North America, which runs contrary to the conventional setup in Hong Kong (incoming: right; outgoing: left; /\ \/). This is a Chinese word, there is no need to prescribe an incorrect English pronounciation to it
