Since there are so many broken links caused by incorrect cases, why not change the site's linking protocols so that titles are case-insensitive?
Of course, I have no idea how much work that would entail, but if it saves having to laboriously type out dozens or hundreds of redirects wouldn't it be worth it? Lee M 03:27, 8 Dec 2003 (UTC)
- While it may not be an issue, but by making it case insensitive you run into the problem where you could have "X xxx" relating to a book article and "X Xxx" relating to a film with the exact same name. Of course like I say it might not be a problem as the articles could instead become "X xxx (Book)" and "X Xxx (Film)" but would this cause more effort than what we're currently doing? - Al b 22:04, 16 Dec 2003 (UTC)
- "X xxx (Book)" and "X Xxx (Film)" would be much easier to tell apart. And it would be closer to most users' experience with computers (Windows is not case sensitive) or books (paper encyclopedias aren't case sensitive either).
