From Peace to war[edit]

Did Hughes' decision to support fighting in WWII come before or after the sudden switch by the Communists from peace to war? The article does not make it clear if he was just following the party line, or sincerely thought that segregation was not as bad as he had thought. More references to his own writings on the subject would be useful, as well.86.167.55.125 (talk)

The photo captioned "The Poet at age 21" is not Hughes but rather a photo of the English composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor. BJECarpenter (talk) 20:00, 24 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I agree - note the autograph in the picture, which I have today removed from the page, and that it closely resembles other photos of Coleridge-Taylor in his wiki biography. The file name needs correcting.Cloptonson (talk) 12:51, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
