Rename Mount Stanley[edit]

Mount Stanley is named after Henry Stanley, a person who was responsible for much of the horrible action that occurred in Africa as he assisted the Europeans in colonialism. It would seem counterproductive, especially in our modern society, that we are focusing on the whitewashed western name of the mountain as opposed to the original and true name of the mountain which is Mount Ngaliema. 46.11.149.191 (talk) 20:16, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You can start a move discussion by following the steps in WP:PCM. However, I don't think the move request will be successful since Mount Stanley is still the overwhelming WP:COMMONNAME. Vpab15 (talk) 11:10, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
