One Hand Clapping[edit]

One Hand Clapping (film) redirects here, but there is no mention of it within this page. the title is mentioned on the pg for the first solo album, that's why I went looking for it. What is it? a concert film associated with this album? if this page is the redirect destination, there should be at least some mention, defining it, preferably a subsection that can be linked directly to, presuming there is enough to say J Edward Malone (talk) 13:54, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Band on the Run → Band on the Run (album) – Between this album and the song itself, I find them both to be equally relevant at their time. They were both #1 on many different charts, and the end result should be similar to the way 24K Magic is formatted. JE98 (talk) 02:10, 24 January 2018 (UTC) 178 642[reply]

  • Comment: Well, I'm confused about how the 24K Magic situation arises – why it's necessary to add "(album)" to 24K Magic when the title "24K Magic (song)" adequately clears up any potential confusion. Someone added similar qualifiers to the Beatles albums A Hard Day's Night and Help!, where in each case there's an album, a song and a film with the same title. So yes, there are precedents, but why is this, why do we need "(album)" in the actual title for the album? I'm leaning towards oppose, personally, unless someone can link me to a relevant guideline on naming conventions (and I'd like to see HDN and Help! moved back also).   • Comment: At first glance, I thought I'd support the move, but upon further examination, I'm not sure how the naming conventions work here either. Please Please Me and Magical Mystery Tour omit the "(album)" part, but Help! and Yellow Submarine don't. –Matthew - (talk) 01:25, 30 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - All the proposed move would do would add a step to readers who type in "Band on the Run" looking for the album, without saving any steps for those typing in "Band on the Run" looking for the song. So I don't see any benefit to the proposal, and as Randy Kryn points out, the album is the more likely search term. As for Help! or Yellow Submarine, I suspect that the issue is that those titles were used as the titles for (popular) movies too, making the identification of a primary topic less clear. Exact release date[edit]

Paul McCartney tweeted that the album was released 07 December 1973, not 05 December 1973 as currently stated in the article. Why the (small) difference?
