I am of the opinion that the recent 82.194.62.22 (talk · contribs) was adding way too much detail; this page is supposed to be a brief summary of the most important events, not a detailed chronicle of the First World War. - Mike Rosoft 10:13, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Empress of Ireland[edit]

May 29 - The ocean liner Empress of Ireland sinks in Gulf of St. Lawrence; 1,024 lives lost. The article says there were 1012 lives lost rather than 1024. Is there some explanation for the difference? Is there something to verify which figure is correct? KenWalker | Talk 02:56, 18 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
