Please change 'The Ross children spent considerable time with their maternal grandparents during their mother's bouts with tuberculosis.[109]' to 'Diana and her siblings spent considerable time with maternal grandparents during their mother's bouts with tuberculosis.[109]' This sentence appears in Religious views

after Relationships and family. There, Diana Ross' children and grandchildren have just been named. This article spans five generations, with two using the Ross surname and a third with Ross as a given name. Current use of 'Ross Children' is ambiguous, especially removed from the Early life section.

Brown, Geoff (1983). "Diana Ross ". St. Martin’s Press. ISBN 9780312199326. p. 23 indicates her parents had six children, three sons and three daughters. Thus suggest using ‘Diane and her siblings’ rather than 'Diane and her sister' for accuracy while differentiating from ‘The Ross Children’. Presently, this article names only one sister for Diana but makes no attempt to quantify siblings.

NOT DIRECTLY AFFECTING PROPOSED CHANGE: Given broad consensus on a Diana's 1944 birth year, this newly cited biography errs naming Diane [sic] as the 'eldest daughter'. Diana’s sister Barbara Ross-Lee was born in 1942 according to the article for this accomplished physician. Diana has an older sister. None of this specifies birth order relative to five siblings.Wclaytong (talk) 12:49, 10 April 2020 (UTC) Wclaytong (talk) 12:49, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Best in US, one of best in the world regardless of gender.[edit]

According to Wikipedia, The Supremes were the most commercially successful of Motown's acts and the most successful American vocal band, with 12 number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100.

To say they were one of the world's best girls groups is demeaning and sexist. They were one of the world's best regardless of gender or race. 2601:603:5301:700:CBB:16DA:FB24:B5B6 (talk) 06:33, 26 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
