re: Alain Mesili article: check out this link [1] I'm not particularly qualified to edit that article- except the climbing end, and that only marginally, but I thought you might be able to do something with this. Lhclayton 21:22, 23 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

cool. I don't know that I am particularly qualified either--I own his guidebook, and read an article in the Alpinist about him. I was just kind of surprised that there wasn't even a page for him, so I added it.--Professorbikeybike 23:48, 23 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Backpacking[edit]

Hello, I noticed you seem to like Backpacking and was wondering if you'd be interested in WikiProject Backpacking, a new project geared towards improving backpacking related articles on Wikipedia. If you'd like to join, show support by signing your name at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Council/Proposals#Backpacking and by helping to edit our beta project page at User:Leif902/WikiProject Backpacking (which will be moved to the Wikipedia namespace after support is built up). Thank you, and have a nice day! -Leif902 00:55, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I see you have self-identified as a backpacker by using the ”This user enjoys backpacking” userbox. I invite you to join the backpacking project. It recently reactivated. There is plenty of good work to do improving the encyclopedia’s coverage of backpacking equipment, organizations, celebrities, books, skills, and trails. The project provides a system to rate articles and prioritize editing efforts. Visit the project’s page, take a look, and please consider joining me in improving the articles and coverage of an activity we both enjoy.

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Billboard toppling, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Proposal for Mountaineering and Climbing Project[edit]

Hi, my name is Jarhed and I am an amateur rock climber and mountaineer. I recently reviewed some of the articles on these subjects, and I believe that they could use the attention of interested editors such as yourself. I have proposed a new project on these topics and I am interested in your opinion. You can find the proposal here: Mountaineering and Climbing Project Proposal. Thank you for your time, and have a great day.Jarhed (talk) 21:52, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
