Welcome!

Hello, Krash/2005, Welcome to Wikipedia!
I hope you like working here and want to continue. If you need help on how to name new articles, look at the Guide to layout, and for help on formatting the pages visit the Manual of Style. If you need general help, look at Help and the FAQ, and if you can't find your answer there, check the Village pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions). There's still more help at the Tutorial and the Policy Library. Also, don't forget to visit the Community Portal — and if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on my New-Users' Talk Page.
Additional tips:
Here are some extra tips to help you get around Wikipedia:
  • If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills, try the Sandbox.
  • Click on the Edit button on a page, and look at how other editors did what they did.
  • You can sign your name using three tildes, like this: ~~~. If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. Always sign comments on Talk pages, never sign Articles.
  • You might want to add yourself to the New User Log
  • If your first language isn't English, try Wikipedia:Contributing to articles outside your native language
  • Full details on Wikipedia style can be found in the Manual of Style.
Happy editing!

Cute. But if you really want to make an impression on me, don't use templates. Keep the messages personal. Or just avoid them all together. I'm really not worth talking to. Krash 15:23, 22 Apr 2005 (UTC)

VfD thanks[edit]

Hello Krash, thanks for reverting the vandalism to the Grandma Butter Chicken VfD. Sjakkalle 13:47, 21 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hello[edit]

You seem to have an interest in conjuring. Kazuba 13:27, 2 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. I have many interests in fact.
I recognize your name. I was a bit confused and not very impressed by your edits of James Randi last week. Apart from that, I don't really know too much about you. Presently, I'm having a difficult time making my way through your user page.
Also, you can easily sign your name by typing 4 tildes, like this: ~~~~. It turns into your username and a date stamp. Look, it's easy: Krash 13:54, 2 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for making me look good[edit]

When I first got into the Davenports, years and years ago, I asked Milbourne Christopher if spiritualism was as popular as it seemed to be from the books of the 19th century. He assured me it was very, yery popular. I asked if the goal of parapsychology was to find scientific proof of mysticism and immortality. He said this was true. That the Bible was a product of an ancient belief in magic had, and has not yet, been recognized by parapsychologists and their supporters. I don't think science will never conquer magic. They will always live together. 198.208.159.14 16:17, 22 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

There's not any chance that you're somehow related to Kazuba, is there? Either way, I'm not sure if I understand the point of your message. -- Krash 22:54, 28 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Worthless information. I've got a lot of it. A resent e-mail reply from a prominent mentalist and skeptic: "I don't know what you are talking about, and I don't want to know what you are talking about." New information is not welcomed. Kazuba is no longer with us. He pissed off too many Wikis. He and his lovely wife escaped to Bora Bora where they run around naked. They are very happy. 68.41.141.167 00:15, 1 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Well whoever you are, you are a very interesting person and I'm certainly quite amused. Keep doing whatever it is that you do and I'm sure you'll succeed at it someday. At least that's what I keep telling myself. Maybe it'll work for you too. -- Krash 11:40, 4 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Changing regional variations of words arbitrarily[edit]

You made this edit to the Layla page. While your edit was in good faith, in the future please don't arbitrarily change one regional spelling (recognisable) to another (recognizable) unless you have good reason to do so. See MoS: Usage and spelling for more information. Happy editing. —jiy (talk) 06:10, 15 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I just thought it embarrassing to have what looked to be a glaring spelling error in a featured article. Seemed like a good enough reason to me. But it was apparently arbitrary. I don't follow regional spellings as much as I should. Just my own region I guess. -- Krash 01:19, 16 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Krash Magic and stuff[edit]

No templates I promise ;D Thx for the message. I know you're not out to get me. I'm what is known as a clueless newbie! I will really have to read those style articles so things can be "wikified." You know some person dropped by yesterday and dumped a wikify thingy on my article and you'd think they'd wikify it themselves if they knew how eh? However, it will be good practice for me to do it. I guess I've been going by some of the articles on the page and they are not very good examples. And you linked in the new page in the box. Cool. I was wandering who did that, I thought it was Phillip! Nice article on SAS BTW ;) --MagicValentina 23:49, 16 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Edit: Haha, I since noticed it was Borgqueen who dropped the box on article and your good self who did it on the other. There are police in abundance in this place! I shall endeavour to do my best and follow your SAS artcle which I assume is in the correct format. Sorry for being such a klutz with all this, but I hope I'll be a quick learner --MagicValentina 00:23, 17 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sometimes users don't have enough information on or interest in a particular subject to make extensive edits to an article. Therefore it can be more practical or convenient to tag an article instead of making the appropriate fixes.
I appreciate that you like the SAS article which I started. Not to blow my own horn or anything, but I think that bullet catch is a good example of how a magic trick article can strive to mature. I've started other articles, but I won't list them here. I'm not making any claims that how I format a page is considered in any way to be the "correct format". -- Krash 14:02, 17 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

For my next trick[edit]

This Minor Barnstar is for your recat of magic related articles. --GraemeL (KC)

My watchlist is full of your minor edits. --GraemeL (talk) 13:15, 20 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Just an excuse to boost my edit count.  :-) -- Krash 13:22, 20 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Excellent job you did on Robert Heller. Thanks! --RoySmith 19:00, 20 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

"Fronts"[edit]

Hate to broaden your mind, but towns do have "fronts" in the sense that there is nothing erroneous in saying "Chicago fronts on Lake Michigan" for example Marshman 17:45, 21 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

If you hate it, then why bother? Why be a jerk about things, Mr. "nice-guy admin". -- Krash 18:00, 21 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

Notability is not a critera for speedy deletion of anything but biographries. Hipocrite - «Talk» 21:54, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I know a whole bunch of schools that don't each have their own one-sentence article. Sometimes I just really want to disrupt Wikipedia to make a point. -- Krash 06:15, 29 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

What is the source of that image? It looks strikingly similar to the image found at The Museum of Talking Boards which is copyrighted. Check out their FAQ page (4th question up from the very bottom). Unless you are the owner of this image, I don't believe fair use would apply in this situation. -- Krash 05:03, 29 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

No I don't own it, I thought that images of board games were okay for fair use reasons. If not I will remove the links. Thanks--Evmore 15:56, 29 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know all the rules on fair use. But I believe bottom line is that the subject of the image may be fair use but that particular image is copyrighted by the person who took it. As such, I'm going to list it for speedy deletion as a copyvio. -- Krash 23:01, 29 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
