Untitled[edit]

I notice we already have Yarmuk River, which is a redirect to Wady Mandhur. Should one be merged into the other? Adam Bishop 02:13, 14 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Illegal Erasure of History Page[edit]

The History Page on Constantine the Great, Flavius Valerius Aurelius Constantinus Augustus, also known as Constantine The First or Saint Constantine of Serbia was erased.

Traceback Erasure of History Page and strictly purge all users guilty of erasure. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 186.109.2.236 (talk) 14:35, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

To whom it may concern: OTRS permission ticket number[edit]

I have received in an e-mail the OTRS permission ticket number for a photograph that I uploaded in the main article, but I am not qualified to add the ticket number to the template on the Talk-Page. If any volunteer is qualified to add it to the template, the ticket number is: 2017062410011105.---Davidbena (talk) 14:04, 25 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Neolithic: a source is needed[edit]

The source offered is: Ma'oz, Zvi Uri. "Golan" (page 418) in The Oxford Encyclopedia of Archaeology in the Near East (1997), isbn 978-0195112153. Page 418 is not accessible online, not even as a snippet. There are a couple of mistakes/confusions/misnomers and we cannot check whose it is: the source's or some editor's.

  • "The Yarmukian is a Pottery Neolithic culture that inhabited parts of Palestine and Jordan."

That part of Jordan is also in the "Palestine region", which makes it very confusing. Northern Israel and northern Jordan is explicit. Should check in new source if the northern West Bank is also included; if yes, then it must be added: so 2 or 3 easily identifiable geographical areas. Forget politics, be clear! Not the right place to fight out the I/A conflict.

  • "Its type site is at Sha'ar HaGolan, on the river mouth."

No it's not, Sha'ar ha-Golan is several km as the crow flies N of the confluence of the Yarmuk with the Jordan River, plus in this area the Yarmuk has lots of wide meanders, so for the water the confluence is even much farther. No access to page 418, don't know whose mistake it is and how to fix it.

I couldn't find a good, accessible source. Anyone else who wants to try? Arminden (talk) 00:27, 7 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
