Hello[edit]

Thank you for the welcome. I see that you seem to be into math. I'm more into computer programming.

Mathematical as opposed to numerical[edit]

In birthday paradox, you changed "A mathematical, as opposed to numercial, view" to "Mathematical view". Strange though it may seem, many educated lay people are so unacquainted with mathematics that they do not know that there is a difference between "mathematical" and "numerical". For that reason, I think it's useful to use the longer title. Do you have reasons that would overcome this consideration? Michael Hardy 23:38, 10 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Well it seemed to be too long for a title. Perhaps it should be in the leading sentence for that section.

OK, I've changed it to "A mathematical (as opposed to numerical) view". Michael Hardy 21:31, 11 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Defination list[edit]

The Wiki markup for defination list is:

 ; term : defination
; more term : more defination

Please don't rewrite it as HTML.

All right, I didn't know that. Thanks.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
