Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Plexicorp

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

From VfD:

This article consists of seventeen words about one fictional company in one scene of one movie. Taco Deposit 02:18, Aug 16, 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete: Is it even in the movie? No need to merge, as there's nothing there, and no need to redirect, because I really doubt it's going to be searched. Geogre 02:23, 16 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete - I don't recall the name of the company, but they did go to a manufacturer of plexiglass to get the material they needed to build their whale tank (to save the Earth from a giant squealing cylinder with a marble hanging off it). -- Cyrius| 07:10, 16 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep - Have a look at http://www.startrek.com/startrek/view/library/technology/article/70284.html. The article can be expanded in future. - utcursch 16 Aug 2004
  • Delete. "Transparent aluminum" is memorable (if silly), the name of the fictional company which supposedly produces it is not. Wile E. Heresiarch 15:22, 16 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Redirect to Transparent aluminum -FZ 16:06, 16 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. I've seen the movie a few times, and I never once noticed the name of the company, so it can't be that notable in a single movie, which is its only mention ever, and thus it's not notable enough for our vaunted wikipedia. --Golbez 21:46, 16 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Redirect to transparent aluminum, as suggested by FZ. I already merged the content, though it probably won't matter much if Plexicorp gets deleted — few people are actually going to search for "Plexicorp". 71 Google hits. [1] • Benc • 04:18, 17 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete - One inconsequential word in one movie about a fictional company. Not worthy of Wikipedia (or anything else really)- Daxkelson 18 Aug 2004
  • Delete - There was a whole scene in the movie, more than one inconsequential word, but it doesn't belong here. - Centrx 20:39, 21 Aug 2004 (UTC)
