The folling part doesn't seem to fit with the page for Robert Louis Stevenson The island was the birthplace of writer Robert Louis Stevenson. His father ran a granite quarry on the island, while Robert wrote part of his novel Kidnapped there. Anyone like to suggest which is true? --JBellis 17:31, 23 Apr 2005 (UTC)

R L Stevenson was born in Edinburgh. His father did work on the island while the nearby lighthouse was being built, and R L spent some summers there. He set a chapter in "Kidnapped" there, but I can find no indication that he actually wrote that chapter while staying on the island.
