Fisherman's Cap[edit]
I noticed that the fisherman's cap is lumped into this article. Is this correct? The fisherman's cap has a distinct band which the newsboy cap lacks. As the fisherman's cap is somewhat of an icon of socialism and quite distinctive, shouldn't it get its own article?
The article also characterizes the newsboy cap as having a stiff peak. Shouldn't the word 'visor' be used as this cap is more traditionally American? It is obviously a close relative of the British flat cap but does have some minor distinctions. It seems that the American cap is more often paneled with a button on the crown while the British cap is, as the name suggests, usually constructed with a single piece of cloth comprising the crown and is, well, flat. It may just be that the articles need to be merged and the (minor) differences discussed there.--SEWalk (talk) 04:21, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
