Verification[edit]

I ain't Larry Lujack Zoe, though if I talk to him, I could verify the radio stations and dates.

Question[edit]

What was so shocking about his airplay? Give examples. Was he ever fired for his shock jocking? Did any of his stunts make national news? Kingturtle 17:13 17 May 2003 (UTC)

I've thought about his 'shockjock' status and decided he doesn't fit, so I've re-worded. Examples to follow, but they'll be in his OOP book, which is selling for too much ($135) at Amazon.

Also known as "Your charming and delightful ol' Uncle Lar". And don't forget that his sidekick for Animal Stories was "Little snot-nosed Tommy". reddog

Death?[edit]

Hi,
Is this for real? There are no sources provided to verify that this person has died. Even if it is true, the wording of "Larry faced his terminal cancer diagnosis with bravery and acceptance." does not seem to be in line with WP:NPOV; Moreover, WP:SURNAME says that surnames are to be used in preference over given names after the initial mention of the name. I think that would apply in this case unless the aforementioned statement is a direct quote. If that's the case, then it should be worded as such. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:26, 19 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks to Connormah for adding a source to verify this person has died and rewording the most recent edit Marchjuly (talk) 05:24, 19 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

After reading through this article, it appears that it needs some cleaning up according to WP:SURNAME. This person's full name really only needs to be given once. All subsequent mentions should use only his surname and not his given name or both names.

The article is also pretty badly organized. I think it should be divided into sections. For example, perhaps it could be divided into Intro, Background, Professional, Personal, Death, etc.

Finally, much of the text does not seem to be written from a very neutral point of view. Lots of the stuff (e.g., the paragraph about golf) seems to be more anecdotal than Wikipedia like. No verifiable sources are given to support many of the statements made.

I would edit some of the surname stuff and some sections myself, but since this is the page of somebody who is said to have died with in the past 24 hours and I am still new to Wikipedia, I am hesitant to do so. Perhaps a more experienced user can say if this page needs to be improved in anyway. Thanks --- Marchjuly (talk) 05:06, 19 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks to CAWylie for reorganizing the page. I think it's much better now than before. However, there's still the problem of WP:SURNAME and some other minor editing needed. I suggest the last sentence regarding his surviving wife and children be changed as follows: "Lujack (or He) is survived by his wife of 41 years Judith (Jude), and two of his children from his first marriage: son Anthony and daughter Linda (Lujack-Shirely)." Does anyone know if his step-son Taber from 2nd marriage is still alive? If so, then his name should be added as well.Marchjuly (talk) 06:42, 19 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
