Colbert Report[edit]

I am personally from Colbert County and much of what is mentioned in the section is not accurate according to my last visit. Unless sources are given and verified I am proposing that this section be amended to merely mention the Colbert Report visit or deleted altogether. Dailynetworks 21:27, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Colbert Report storyline[edit]

There's something I'd be very interested to know about... how much of the Colbert Museum stuff was staged and how much was genuine? Did the "museum" really advertise and draw that large, enthusiastic crowd, or were they paid? I wonder if any Wikipedia editors live there and can answer. ~ CZeke 05:03, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

They really drew that large a crowd. Everyone was pretty excited by it. My coworker and his girlfriend are in the crowd scene inside the museum. She was there as a fan of the show. She called us at work and said the producer wanted some Helen Keller jokes and we told them some. I'm not sure if they actually used the ones we told them. We gave them quite a few.

And the high school band came with the cheerleaders and others. I was there and took a couple of pics of that.

If anyone was paid it was the actresses that played Anne Sullivan and Helen Keller. They perform the play at the Helen Keller museum every summer. But I'm not sure if they were paid or not. But everyone else showed up just because they were fans of the show or just for the hell of it.

We were all pretty excited that they came. Would have been better if Stephen had showed up himself. --Nyxxxx 02:40, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
