First comment[edit]

I've added a link to the Polish version [#261;b (Ctrl-click)">http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/ORP_Jastrząb], but I certainly don't speak any Polish and the article hasn't been translated from it; if anyone does, they might want to quickly scan over it to see if anything major's been missed out. Loss[edit]

I've amended the account here of Jastrzab's loss.
Pertek’s account is at variance with the various British accounts. This is not particularly resolvable (I presume Pertek is a reliable source; Kemp and Schofield certainly are). So I have written it as "Controversy" to show both sides of the story. Xyl 54 (talk) 23:39, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dubious statement[edit]

The Ship History section states that S-25 (or P-551, whichever she was then) was passed on to the Polish navy in exile "due to a lack of trained submarine crews in the Royal Navy at the time", the source for this being Pertek's book (p. 319). Does Pertek offer any evidence of this claim? It seems unlikely; the RN was commissioning T- and U-class submarines at the rate of one or two a month at the end of 1941, and I've not seen any evidence they were lacking in crews for their submarines. It is more likely the Pole's simply wanted to get into the fight, and had a crew available. Does anybody know for sure? Xyl 54 (talk) 13:33, 3 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
