I see that you were the original contributor of The Hacker's Manifesto. Someone has since moved this to Wikisource, and I have no problem with the idea of having the text there instead of Wikipedia. Since this text was first published in 1986 it would appear to be covered by copyright, unless there is a declaration by the author to the contrary. Could you please advise on the copyright status of this item. Eclecticology 18:28, 2004 Mar 16 (UTC)

(If you're NOT the anonymous user who left the folowing message on my talk page, then please ignore the text below)
why do you say that? (check how to edit a page.. user Lightning from now on please, i'll log in)

It looked to me like you wanted to make a subheading by typing '''Uses''', which i changed to ===Uses===. No offense intended, just trying to help. -- Chris 73 Talk 06:56, Dec 20, 2004 (UTC)
Ok, no problem then. Happy editing -- Chris 73 Talk 07:05, Dec 20, 2004 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
