Untitled[edit]

My Lonely Planet (China, 2002, p360) says "There are 36 lakes in China called Xī Hú, but this one is the most famous." However, the article says "800 West Lakes in China (according to the Lonely Planet)." Which figure is correct, and where exactly did the 800 come from? Ralmin

The 800 figure is definite incorrect. In the Cihai encyclopedia, only three Xihu was listed.

The text says the average depth is 0.8 m (less than 3 ft) but the info box says otherwise. What is the correct value?59.93.91.70 (talk) 09:37, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Does anyone have a source for some geographical features of the lake? It's at least partially a geographical article in my mind, so i expect some measurements like circumference and average diameter or something. Doviende 08:38, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article also needs information on surface elevation. I could find one source showing it is between 9-13 metres above sea level. Also the Chinese Wikipedia has info on its width dimensions. ~AH1 ^(discuss!) 23:15, 5 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Water Quality?[edit]
