How does the sentence In the early twentieth century, Prohibition drove many breweries into bankruptcy because they could not rely on selling "sacramental" wine as wineries of that era did. lead into the sentence After several decades of consolidation of breweries, most American commercial beer was produced by a few very large corporations? Is the term "microbrewery" really falling out of favor? I, for one, rarely have heard microbreweries referred to as "craft breweries."

Barrels[edit]

Yes, a microbrewery must produce fewer than 15,000 barrels of beer a year, but we should define how much volume a barrel is. As well, as far as I know, only the US uses barrel as a unit of measure. Al 13:17, 16 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
