What with Elvis?[edit]

There are many references that Elvis performed this song as well. To mention a few: [links to copyvio websites removed]

Can anyone approve / reject it (and update the topic as well)? Please note that I'm not a fan of Elvis and so I've no idea if he really performed it or not.

Thanks.

So, how about this cover version. It's very well known, but it's not mentioned in article... Andrius.v (talk) 11:20, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article needs to be verified per WP:V - that would settle questions on the Discussion page[edit]

See WP:CITE for how-to. Thanks. Mattisse(talk) 00:05, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:64815oy.jpg[edit]

Image:64815oy.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Common misconception[edit]

Many believe it's a song by Elvis. It is not. Maybe we should add that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.180.2.125 (talk) 12:50, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

move[edit]

The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: No move. This may be worth returning to if and when a more comprehensive consensus emerges. Cúchullain t/c 20:12, 26 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Only You (And You Alone)Only You (and You Alone) – per MOS:MUSIC and other recent move requests — kwami (talk) 01:14, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. This is a controversial move due to conflict between MOS:CT and MOS:MUSIC which is currently being discussed (and the nominator is involved in). WP:LOCALCONSENSUS should not overrule. --Rob Sinden (talk) 09:32, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per the guideline at MOS:MUSIC that Robsinden unilaterally removed this morning. Deor (talk) 16:50, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The guideline at MOS:MUSIC was formed by WP:LOCALCONSENSUS and was in direct contradiction of parent guideline at MOS:CT. I propose suspension of move request until outcome of current discussion. --Rob Sinden (talk) 16:57, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Suspend the discussion. All three editors above are involved in a discussion regarding whether MOS:CT or MOS:MUSIC is right and why they differ. Any nomination, comment, !vote or article moving should be considered pointy and ignored. When an agreement has been made I will happily support the outcome, whatever it is. For those that want to discuss please see Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Capital letters --Richhoncho (talk) 19:35, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. This request does appear to be pointy. Not capitalizing the word and makes no sense. Apteva (talk) 01:01, 15 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. No community consensus for underlying argument put forward in proposal. --Born2cycle (talk) 00:23, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

No Love for Louis?[edit]

No mention at all of Louis Armstrong's cover. I believe that's important enough to be in the Notable Covers section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:B:3100:751:75F5:D81A:9F7F:EDC9 (talk) 19:58, 17 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

In colture[edit]

Why isn't there a "in culture" segment? Like, it's one of the most important songs in far cry 5 RoieTheMaster (talk) 11:58, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
