Chock full of non-notable information[edit]

"They became the first WNBA team to win non-consecutive championships" "They also were involved in the first WNBA Finals to go 5 games." [redundant with the previous few sentences.] "and repeat, something they were not able to do in 2004 after their 2003 Finals victory." "With the loss, the Shock lost the series and became the first team to lose the final game of the Finals at home."

Untitled[edit]

Please don't call winners of domestic American sports leagues "world champions" on Wikipedia, particularly in a sport like women's basketball where there is an actual World Championship. As well as being inaccurate it annoys the heck out of many non-Americans. --Robert Merkel 06:56, 17 Sep 2003 (UTC)

I change it from basketball history to wnba history, because somewhere in the world of basketball there may have been another worse to first case, in fact depending on how you view history the the Detroit Gems of the NBL finish in last place the next season the team was bought by a group in Minneapolis and became the Lakers and won the NBL championship. Kedra Holland-Corn got traded to Houston in February of this year.
