Anti-child abuse[edit]

  • Why is there a link to the National Council on Child Abuse & Family Violence near the bottom of this page? Is this on the strength of it being Children's Day in Mexico?
The link itself goes to this specific date (April 30) as its "No Hitting" day. It makes references to 2003 and the link (not the idea) may no longer be relevant. -- Borameer 18:01, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How did Kirsten Duntz get born twice?

Virgin Radio[edit]

I've re-added the launch of Virgin Radio. I think the first national commercial rock radio station on MW in the United Kingdom, the station that threatened Radio One's broadcasting hold and was backed a multimillionaire and owner of an international company and one that later employed names such as Chris Evans, Nick Abbot, Tommy Vance etc is a little more than "not notable" Eugenespeed (talk) 00:18, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It might be marginally notable in the UK but how notable is it for the rest of the world? I see it being about as notable as the day Howard Stern first appeared on Sirius satellite radio. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 01:36, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Could someone with more skills than I have add Mary Phelps Jacob, b. April 30, 1891, to the birthday roll and link to her entry? Thanks!

She was born March 30. Jim Michael (talk) 23:44, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Scientology[edit]

LOL, can't believe the Scientology faithful haven't freaked out and changed this yet:

Honesty day?[edit]

Looking at the article, this doesn't look like a real thing.--Richardson mcphillips (talk) 01:57, 30 April 2018 (UTC) so if there is no discussion, I'll remove it.--Richardson mcphillips (talk) 17:01, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

"Martyr's Day"[edit]

Martyr's Day is called Martyrs' Day in the Wiki article it is linked to. I thought it was a misspelling so I changed it to Martyrs' but someone is upset now. It has something to do with "verifiability", but it seems to me that changing it from the actual Wiki article it is linked to is what requires verifiability, especially when it changes the sense. So why is the entry here changed from the entry in the Wiki article it is linked to? --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 17:56, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Well, no. Your spelling change may have been correct, but it was reverted with the two unsourced entries you also added. Days of the Year pages are no longer exempt from WP:V and direct sources are required for additions. For details see the WikiProject Days of the Year style guide.  Done. As stated above, the reverts were not due to the Martyrs' Day change, but for your other additions. I made the spelling change like you wanted, but your other changes will still need to be verified with reliable sources. SkyWarrior 18:02, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
