Untitled[edit]

I looked up Daur in the Wikipedia and found only the "Ethnic Group" entry.

I have come across the word "Daur" while doing genealogy research where the term is used as a reference to "Relation" as in a relationship of one person to another. It is from a record in England from the 19th Century. Would anyone know of the use of this word?

I will probably forget to check back here, so if you could forward any info to dnorchi@mdi.net, it would be appreciated.

Thanks in Advance,

Dick Norchi

Language, etc.[edit]

Ok, first, the article needs to tell what language the Daur speak.

Then, a bunch more needs to be told about them.

Notable Daurs[edit]

Should we maybe include a "Notable Daurs" page, maybe? Wang Ru (last empress of Qing) and Choibalsan (ruler, marshall of Mongolia) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dagvadorj (talkcontribs) 16:42, 24 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Illustration[edit]

Maybe a better copy can be found of this map, which clearly shades "Daoorie" as most of what's more often considered northern Manchuria and sets it almost equivalent to Mongolia and Manchuria within the Qing Empire. — LlywelynII 14:37, 29 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
