Stubs[edit]

Thanks a bunch! I'm really new at this (you may have noticed) and I'm not really sure if I'm even doing this right. I just wanted to say thanks for the assistance! TigressofIndia (talk) 01:33, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback, please[edit]

Hello, Jeodesic ... Thnx fer your recent tweaks to User:The Bipolar Anon-IP Gnome/John Q. Public (edit | [[Talk:User:The Bipolar Anon-IP Gnome/John Q. Public|talk]] | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) ... I tried to keep the sandbox in User space but I guess the {{stub}} tag made it visible in Article space after all ... My bad!

Well, at least you must have seen the Talk page and sussed what I was doing. :-)

Happy Editing! —72.75.72.63 (talk · contribs) 17:51, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, yours is far from the first stub-tagged user-space page I've come across. Jeodesic (talk) 00:26, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Undid redirect[edit]

Hi! I undid your page move of the Corpus Catholicorum (Series) for reasons which I explain on Talk:Corpus Catholicorum (Series). However, I'm not exactly clear on how to proceed with fixing the links (I never have had occasion to do this before). So I thought if perhaps you had a moment, you wouldn't mind giving me a hand. Sure would be much obliged! Thanks. Delta x (talk) 01:50, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, Jeodesic, Back again! First, let me say thanks for responding, and thanks for the heads-up regarding moving the article again – this time using a lower case “s” for “series”. Sometimes the devil really is in the details! I’ll definitely read over the link you provided.
In the meantime, I’m afraid I need press you into service again. At the risk of appearing a total ignoramus, I’m still at a loss as to exactly how to go about fixing the links in the two articles that link here.
You see, I was under the impression that when I moved the page back to its original name, all the links to the (now old) name i.e. Corpus Catholicorum (CC) -- which were red links to begin with -- would automatically revert back to being red links again.
I just assumed that the article - Corpus Catholicorum - would have been deleted by the move back process. But as you can see, the lk Corpus Catholicorum is not red, and it links right back to Corpus Catholicorum (Series), which is precisely what it's not supposed to do.
So my question is, why is that, and again, how does one go about fixing it? Changing the link on the Augustus II the Strong for example, wont fix the problem. So specifically, what do I change so that the CC lks again appear red and no longer lk to the redirect page?
Also, I was thinking of using one of those red lks to start a WP article on the other Corpus Catholicorum (now that I’m aware there is another CC!). And one final question (for the moment at least). ;) What about the redirect page, once all links have been changed so that nothing links to it, is it deleted?
Again, thanks for any assistance. Delta x (talk) 06:53, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I see what you are saying. For some reason, I had stuck in my head the idea that this type of page move (undo a redirect) differed from “ordinary” page moves in that in such instances, the page moved from would just be deleted, thus resetting everything to its original state. I see now that’s not how it works, and that, as far as the MediaWiki software is concerned, a move is a move is a move, and in every instance, the page moved from is never automatically deleted, but simply becomes a redirect. I do think it would be helpful if the software had a degree of greater flexibility. Perhaps in the future. Meanwhile, I'll just change the link titles so everything points where it should and not worry about having to set things back to their "original state." And I will certainly do some more reading up on this when I get a little extra time.
Thanks for the help and for the clarification; I'm a little more knowledgeable now. Delta x (talk) 21:14, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for correcting it for me, I didn't spend much time on it, but you did a marvelous job. Though I must say I was very annoyed that it was proposed for deletion. :-( Emj (talk) 18:08, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

lol, you stubbed a hoax[edit]

Seriously, look at this [1], you seriouly didn't notice that it was a hoax while stubbing it? :) --Enric Naval (talk) 21:26, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently not, but as the page has been deleted, it's somewhat hard to tell why I failed to notice. I'll just blame late-night editing... Jeodesic (talk) 17:27, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disam hatnotes[edit]

You're adding disambiguation hatnotes to articles whose titles aren't ambiguous, like Jack Evans (D.C. Council). Please see WP:NAMB. —KCinDC (talk) 23:37, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I made this article following talk at Talk:Mitch Mitchell. I think it's an OK list in the style of list of notable last events, but there isn't that much substance to it and it's hard to define who is, and who isn't a member. It seems like Jimi Hendrix Experience is the first well known rock band to have all of its members/former members dead.-Piebald Avarice (talk) 15:55, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Copyvio has been corrected and the article expanded and sourced. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 00:09, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Eyh, I agree it's borderline. I declined it because I interpreted it as "artwork by a serious artist" rather than "some lame stuff some kids put up on YouTube". After looking more fully at it, I've PROD-ded it, because while there is enough doubt against an A7 in mind, it's fairly clear that its notability is shaky at best. Reviewer granted[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 05:43, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
