Color[edit]

Thank you for showing interest in contributing to Wikipedia. I noticed that you edited Color. I think it is important to preserve the logical structure within an article; some of your additions added new facts that seemed to be completely unrelated to the text directly above and below it. Also, I think one should be prudent in adding wikified links to nonexistent articles: see whether there is a related article that does exist, and think whether it is likely that the name you used will be used in the future. For example, "virtual light & color cubes" is not likely to become an article with that title. A "color cube" (singular) might be an appropriate title for such an article if it were to be created. Other example: "hexadecimal number" does not exist, but why not link to hexadecimal and number?

It is a good idea to pay attention to language and grammar. Write "and" instead of "&", finish sentences with a period.

I edited the color article, removing some of your additions, and moving around others. See the discussion page for the motivation.

Hi - could you say where your images come from on the image page - and what license they are under. Leave me a message on my talk page if you're not sure. Secretlondon 19:39, 24 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Great - thanks. Have you released them under the GFDL or are they public domain? If they are GFDL please add {{msg:GFDL}}, for public domain add {{msg:PD}}. Thanks. Secretlondon 19:48, 24 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Personal subpages[edit]

While some of your articles may not appear to be acceptable as encyclopedia articles perhaps you should consider moving them to your personal subpage space rather than letting them get deleted. User:Information-Ecologist/information ecology might be a good place to temporarily put your information ecology entry and likewise for other subjects you are studying that are obviously of interest to Wikipedians. It seems to me that your mind might need to also express itself on its own wiki that is dedicated to your insights and the mediawiki software is open source -- you could use it for your own wiki information ecology project. It seems a fascinating project that could be developed in very interesting ways. Just a suggestion. Cheers. — Alex756 [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Alex756 talk] 09:08, 26 Mar 2004 (UTC)
