Hello Wenteng, welcome to Wikipedia. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. You can learn more on the how to edit page. The naming conventions and style guide pages are also useful. There is a sandbox which you can use to experiment in. If you have any questions, see the help pages or add a question to the village pump. Angela

I nominated you for admin status, which I have been contemplating doing since I read your highly constructive comments on talk:New Imperialism. Your edits to the Shamir page also demonstrated a mastery of NPOV polices and adhering to proper encyclopedic standards, despite the huge controversy surrounding this former Israeli Prime Minister. This site needs a contributor of your caliber and discretion, especially considering the edit wars that erupt over Israeli-Palestinian neutrality. Seeing your skills on the Shamir article, I suggest that you consider arbitrating the many disputes over the Israel-related articles. Perhaps then you will be well-known enough to receive the backing for admin status. 172 01:44, 2 Sep 2003 (UTC)

From Wikipedia:Requests for adminship:

Wenteng[edit]

  • I nominate User:Wenteng. Though probably not active enough to fully qualify, sooner or later, User:Wenteng will be regarded as admin caliber by enough contributors. A fairly active new contributor, and an active copyeditor, he/she would make a great admin. For now, however, he/she is not a daily contributor. But an adminship could encourage daily activity. I have been contemplating nominating Wenteng for admin status since reading his/her highly constructive comments on talk:New Imperialism. • Hasn't made a contribution since August 17. I don't think Wenteng is still with us. :-( -- Cyan 01:01, 4 Sep 2003 (UTC)

Wenteng, when you return (hope you do) and become an active contributor again, please copy the above text back to Wikipedia:Requests for adminship so we can proceed with your nomination again. --Jiang 02:21, 14 Sep 2003 (UTC)

ArbCom "elections"[edit]

Hello Wenteng,

I want to let you know about a message I've just put on the ArbCom elections endorsements page. I'm letting you know because I've seen from your comments on that page and in its history, that you are concerned about the fairness of these "elections". So am I. "Neutrality" has had a grudge against me since I voted against him in his admin elections and has made it %^&$ hell for me to try and continue to use the Wikipedia since then.

He keeps blocking me. I have disabled hands and it's very hard to try and stand up against this abuse by this bully. Please help me stop this stich-up of the election by publicising what's going on and demanding proper fair dealing from Danny and the other organisers. Thanks. - WikiUser.

(P.S. They should stop keeping the "elections" as quiet as they can, i.e. put a notice on the Main Page. They should stop trying to prevent people from taking part, all they want they say is for the candidates to praise themselves, their friends to praise them- and anyone else to shut up and no criticising. Some elections! It's a stich up for the same old group of users.)WikiUser 20:30, 4 Dec 2004 (UTC)

C.S Lewis[edit]

Hi, thanks for your great edits to C. S. Lewis today. Have you had a chance to look at the article's talk page? It is a current good article nominee; however, its candidacy is on hold until more references are added, and we have only another week to bring it up to standard. If you can help in adding references to the article, please feel free to do so. Thanks, Martin 21:25, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why keep? It seems from context to reek of racial prejudice and crackpot theory, and there is no evidence that it has ever been in legitimate use. --Orange Mike 03:21, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

C.S. Lewis source[edit]

Hello,

Do you have a link to your source "The Lion, the Witch, and the Whorehouse: Male Prostitution and the Works of C.S. Lewis" (2002)? The website for the journal http://jaar.oxfordjournals.org doesn't appear to find it. Perhaps the journal number and pages would be helpful. Bbagot 23:06, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for September 25[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
