Er ... what's the point of a page about a 4-year old? What has she done? Why is she important? If this were a ground-breaking test-tube gene-spliced kid, maybe. She's certainly worthy of a separate entry. She's pop royalty. Like Prince William, she will be famous her entire life. --The Cunctator

I thought an encyclopeida's purpose was to provide entries under headings that would give factual definitions/explainations of things of interest to the public. Because this young girl is the firstborn daughter of one of the most famous people in the entire world, and because there is a genuine and immediate interest in who she is, and what she is doing (even at four,) she is most certainally worthy of her own page in an encyclopedia. I wasn't under the impression that the wikipedia was made to only include entries on people who have accomplished a great deal; I thought it was made to include entries on subjects of interest. If this were just some random accountant from Iowa I would agree that it was an un-needed page, because there are likely not very many people who would have an interest in the page. But it's not. -EB-
i You've just inadvertently made a very good case for not mentioning her at all -- she is at the centre of a lot of media attention. She should be left alone, just as the under-18 members of the British Royal Family are left out of the press.

I'm with Cunc and EB on this one--sure, she's never really accomplished anything, but neither have most "royalty" who are simply famous by birthright. Like it or not, she's something the public wants to know about, and there's no reason not to have some of that information here. --LDC

- The point of an Encylcopedia, for the second time now, is to provide information that is known. If someone wants to know about green beans then they should be able to look up "green beans" and find out everything that is known about green beans, even if it's just "Green beans are beans that are green, tubular and regularly consumed by humans." We have established that there is an active interest in obtaining knowledge about Lourdes Cicconne; it can't be helped if there is not a great deal of knowledge ABOUT her to be known. -EB-
Yes, Wikipedia is a source of information. "this is the 4-year old child of a megastar about whom we know nothing" is not information. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a media circus. -- Tarquin
Maybe this will help! Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon was born October 14 1996 at Good Samaritan Hospital in L.A. Father is Carlos Manuel Leon. Mother is Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone, the famous singer. Lourdes is just 6 years old but is already very famous as she is the first offspring of her Mother. Lourdes attends french school in London and resides in London with her Mother, StepFather Guy and brother Rocco Ritchie. Lourdes speaks many different languages and is being raised with an awareness of many different cultures.
