Before I spend a lot of time fixing the many problems with this orphan/dead-end article (needs move to lowercase title, numerous misspellings, no wikilinks, needs intro before first header, etc.), I want to find out if anyone actually considers it an encylopedic topic--especially considering what would link here? We don't have fist or fist strike articles, and I don't see anyone searching for the title--is an article that will likely never be found worth having? Niteowlneils 19:07, 15 Oct 2004 (UTC)

PS Another Wikipedian has added Wikilinks, so it is no longer a dead-end page. All the other issues remain. Niteowlneils 19:09, 15 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • It is an issue addressed by many different martial arts, but this limited article doesn't address the subject from that perspective. For instance, nei chia practitioners perform the motions described in this article with quite different mechanics. Also, the name isn't that good, IMO. It is something which should be covered more completely in a general sparring article (which I've been considering, actually). See kumite. With those factors in mind, I'll vote to delete. • Keep or merge/move, but don't delete.-PlasmaDragon
  • Keep. Seems like a valid topic and the article doesn't look so bad. If a better title can be found then rename it. If there are errors then correct them.--Tomheaton 21:47, 15 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Weak keep. Possibly move to a better title. Needs NPOVification (current article seems to advocate the approach of a single martial art). Gwalla | Talk 21:45, 16 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Merge and redirect to strike (attack), like Gwalla said. jni 13:42, 17 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Merge and redirect to strike (attack), this is a change of my above vote. When I get time I'll clean it up a bit. Fire Star 17:04, 17 Oct 2004 (UTC)
