Multiculturalism[edit]

"Harbord has been a diverse multicultural school for many years. From the 1920s to the 1950s, about 90% of the student body was Jewish and many prominent Jewish Canadians attended Harbord." How, exactly, is having 90% of the population made up of a single identifiable group "diverse"?

"Today, the student body largely consists of, but is not limited to, students of Chinese and Portuguese descent, which is representative of the surrounding neighbourhoods." Again, what exactly is so diverse if the population "largely consists" of only two identifiable groups?

I'm also skeptical of the school's attempt to "promote diversity" by providing Cantonese, Mandarin, and Portuguese classes to the students "largely...of Chinese and Portuguese descent". That's money well spent!

Who's GooTuM? You are always editing the Harbord C.I. wiki page. You got some stuff wrong though :P. But I fixed it. Andrew4Life 05:47, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What did I get wrong -_- GooTuM 20:35, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Just some outdated info about the robotics club. I also added a new section for the Green Club--Andrew4Life 23:21, 25 October 2006
I didnt write the Robotics Club part anyways >_> If I remember correctly, it had its own article under "Tiger Techs" and all I did was merge them. GooTuM 02:27, 27 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Who did that major edit to everything? It looks like someone tried to depersonalize the page. --Andrew4Life 01:02, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You know, the school's been around for over a century. The current students hardly provide much of a context in understanding the school. When you get that detailed it looks like a joke. Broaden it up a little so it is more accessible to people who are not current attendees.

Alton and Andrew are funny people. LordofPens 23:31, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article expansion[edit]

We should add a list of teams (not just clubs) Harbord has to offer. (ex. the wrestling team) LordofPens 00:39, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, we should have a more complete list of teams. LordofPens 00:44, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

true true. But still, this page contains numerous amouts of information which is very impressive.

Fair use rationale for Image:Logoforclub.gif[edit]

Image:Logoforclub.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Harbord[edit]

Who was the Harbord after whom Harbord Street was named? This should be mentioned in the article. Deipnosophista (talk) 10:35, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
