Merge proposal

This does not really warrant its own article. No reliable sources and basically a lot of linkspam. All this can be covered quickly and without linkspam in prank call. Please post any reasons for keeping the two separate here, but unless this article has published attributable citations by then, I'll merge them next week. Jokestress 18:24, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

As long as the search for celebrity prank call leads to the article, and the article doesn't have to be cut down much. I'm not a fan of merges when it leads to content cuts.--Iamstillhiro1112 18:30, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

Well if you merge them, I would keep the article as is, including the links because they lead you to websites that show the people what a celebrity/soundboard prank call is. There may be someone new to these types of prank calls and not have any idea what they sound like by reading the paragraph.

I'm not a fan of the article as is. If we're going to talk about soundboards, there should be an internal wikipedia link to cross reference that, not a link to someone's actual soundboard. That's just link spam. The whole article could be condensed to a paragraph and included in the "prank call" section. Celedor15 03:35, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Well I had no idea what a soundboard was until I went to those sites, I read the wikipedia page about soundboards and still had no idea what they were. There are links on every wikipedia page, not all links are spam. I think in the soundboard links are needed because people may not know what a celebrity prank call or soundboard is just by reading a description. I have been to hundreds of wikipedia pages, all of external links and external pictures. If you leave it as a blank white page then it will be a blank white website.

Merge. This page needs to be merged with Prank Calls, it was probably only created so someone could steer people to their site and generate ad revenue. 70.149.171.35 19:20, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
