Tragedy in Paradise[edit]

In light of today's events, please take a moment of your time to honour the children whom have perished both in Lancaster County and in other schools throughout the country during this past week. I would just like to ask that, due to today's tragedy, those whom wish to learn more about the Amish please understand that they are a people whom mean no harm of any kind toward the outside world. They are by their very creed a peaceful and non-resistant culture. I know this school well, and I am acquainted with many whom have grown up around it. May they all someday find peace. --Thisisbossi 23:25, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I am curious to know how this should be approached on the city page. On the one hand, on other location pages, we don't keep track of every crime committed. On the other hand, yes: this is a very major event for such a small community as this. If we're going to keep it in this article, we should expand it by 2 or 3 more sentences and give it its own subsection -- though I believe that such should wait until the event's details are more thoroughly understood and released to the public. The single sentence at the beginning just does not fit with the flow and trend of this and other city entries. --Thisisbossi 23:37, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

All media reports indicate that the school is in BART Twp?! Hillsboro 17:59, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Technically, yes; though the region bounded by Strasburg, Salisbury, Georgetown, and Leacock tends to be referred to, in general, as Paradise. --Thisisbossi 02:33, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
