Will voters be notified by email that their vote has been recieved and is valid? I think it would be a good idea. LUDRAMAN | T 17:52, 16 Apr 2004 (UTC)

It is a very good idea. I will do so, and I'm sure Zanimum will also. Jwrosenzweig 18:03, 16 Apr 2004 (UTC)
Update -- turns out Zanimum was already doing this. We may actually be doing a decent job for this election. :-) Jwrosenzweig 18:07, 16 Apr 2004 (UTC)
Yup. I got one just after I voted. Nice work, guys. LUDRAMAN | T 15:46, 19 Apr 2004 (UTC)
Maybe also post something on the user page, that way if the email address does not belong to the same person who owns the Wikipedia account you will find out that the Wikipedian may not have voted but someone used the same name from some email server account. — © Alex756 05:55, 20 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Condorcet Voting[edit]

I strongly recommend that we should change to Cloneproof Schwartz Sequential Dropping, a Condorcet method, for the next elections. We can use Andrew Myers' Condorcet Internet Voting Service (CIVS) to count the ballots.

Already during the last Arbitration Committee elections, it has been proposed by Johnleemk and Nat Krause to change to Condorcet voting. But their proposal came to late. Markus Schulze 21 June 2005
