Second or third highest?[edit]

In April 2009, Gubernatoria demoted Pulag from second highest to third highest in the Philippines. Even now, another part of the article calls it second highest. Mount Pulag → Pulag – Same with Talk:Mayon#Requested move 23 December 2016. WP:Concise and WP:Commonname: The modifier/title is not needed since there is only one WP:Primary topic for the word "Pulag" and it is this article. The mountain is known by its proper name without the word "Mountain". Based MOS:PHIL Places, the modifier is optional for well-known places. Shhhhwwww!! (talk) 23:05, 17 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Has it ever really snowed there?[edit]

Mt. Pulag's prominence in question[edit]

The sourced/citation used to justify Pulag's prominence is dated 2005 but it does mention that they used old soviet maps to arrive at these numbers. It even calls out for people to take it with a pinch of salt until there is 1:50,000 Philippine topographic mapping publicly available. Well, we do have that data now here and (I am no expert but it looks to me like) Mt. Pulag's col is around 1300m and that would establish its prominence at about 1600m. Inviting the experts to have their say on this but I highly doubt that the current figure of 2922m is accurate.

Is Mount Pulag really the same as Mount Pulog[edit]

Is the redirect from Mount Pulog to this side really correct? A friend from the Philippines told me that the Mount Pulog is in SO of Luzon and another Mounten of Luzon. See here: Position of really Mount Pulog on Google Maps Drägü (talk) 08:53, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Some older maps erroneously used "Mount Pulog" to refer to Mount Pulag (for example, as shown in Fast Facts about Philippine Provinces by Conrado M. Lancion). The "Mount Pulog" in Sorsogon is quite an unknown mountain. —Sanglahi86 (talk) 11:38, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
