Introduction part[edit]

I have added two more images to show the grand academic tradition of this tiny community. This information is a proof of the nobe ancestry of this community. Pathare Prabhu (talk) 13:38, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add self-invented mythology in bad English, or any claims of 'noble ancestry.' It should suffice to describe them as one of the founding communities of Bombay/Mumbai, who have played an active and dynamic role in it's history. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.161.133.181 (talk) 22:04, 6 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello friends, I have made some essential changes in the draft to meet with the standards as required in the introductory part. I have rewritten the Introduction and History so that they can be read properly. In the previous write up material was mixed up in the disorderly manner. There were many loose ends and that made some comments on the article. Now we can remove that. Pathare Prabhu (talk) 08:22, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Last names[edit]

Friends, I treat this article as my own responsibility and so take special interest. We still have to remove some tickets on top, they annoy me, help me in improving this very important article to the best article nomination and that will be possible with your co-operation. Remember one thing, our communities speciality is that it is the only surviving puranik royalty, that aspect should not be undermined while presenting the history of our community. All measure personalities such as, Pururavas, Sati Sawitri, Nal, are all our direct ancestors. Pathare Prabhu (talk) 05:49, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is not your article. This is about facts on a community, not writing nonsense and mythology in bad English. I do not know what is worse, your English, or the fact that you are adding uncited, unsourced, and fictional claims of divine/royal origin as a real fact. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.191.231.139 (talk) 20:31, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have added three plates to show in English the information given in the charts1 and 2, with a separate plate to give translation of terms used in the charts. I could not put these plates in one line. Licensed editor should help to do it. Pathare Prabhu (talk) 11:20, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Culture[edit]

This part needed some adjustments to make it proper, I have done it. Word parbhi does not give any additional information, and that comes under slang, I have removed it. Pathare Prabhu (talk) 06:27, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This article is confusing[edit]

Most of the first part is unsourced, and I don't understand how the charts show they did scholarly work early on. --AW (talk) 12:38, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Since I have given much of the substance in this article I think it is my responsibility to reply this discussion. As we all know this information comes from ancient Hindu scriptures as references given in the end we should believe the information. The questioner I believe is not aware of the Hindu scriptures and also the fact that most of the scriptures are not available to English language readers. As such citations can not be given for all such information. I feel wikipedia reference needs an English language references and as they are not available for most of the Hindu systems the problem of giving citation always persists for all such articles. This position becomes clear from the fact that most of the articles in wikipedia on such Hindu subjects are stubs. The Awiseman, I request to see my other article giving more details about this community http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Pathare_Prabhu/Pathare_Prabhu_Community%27s_Ancient_links. That article awaits coming on the main page.Pathare Prabhu (talk) 05:12, 18 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I do not know of these Hindu scriptures that talk about one small community. If they exist, they are very minor. Also, we do not all know this information comes from any scriptures, ancient or not, and we should not believe this information on your assertion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Abox26hs (talkcontribs) 14:48, 12 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

unreliable source? - Pattan Prabhu Lekhamani[edit]

The Pattan Prabhu Lekhamani , written by Shamrao Moroji Nayak (1862) is probably not valid for wikipedia . This page does not list any other reliable sources. Acharya63 (talk) 06:21, 12 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have added some information citing and quoting from valid sources.-Acharya63 (talk) 08:32, 26 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
