Below articles (in bold) listed for deletion July 12 to July 18 2004, consensus was to delete. Discussion:

Aldeism is a religion not practiced outside of a website (says the article itself), and is apparently undocumented beyond its single creator/practitioner:

Allan Revich, whose sole claims to fame are creating Aldeism and running digitalsalon.com. Keep in mind if you google "digital salon", the phrase is in common use without any connection to this website—if it turns out to be notable, does that mean its operator is? And even if so...

User:Allan Revich is a "user page" by a "user" with no contributions under that name, started instead by an anon user (142.150.101.108) that just duplicates information at Allan Revich.

There are about three anons responsible for the content of all three of these articles; User:142.150.101.108 and User:64.229.64.173, who contributed only to these, Deism and Theism, and User:64.229.74.9 who contributed to few others, suggesting that all of these are Mr. Revich trying to promote himself and his idea. Talk:Aldeism shows some history of others questioning its validity and whether its claims even internally make sense, and the only one rising to its defense was the same anon noted above, 142.150.101.108, who signed his responses "AR". Its tenets are "open to interpretation." Reads like a cross between humanism and deism and is totally subjective. My kind of religion. Seriously, delete all as just about the ultimate in vanity, maybe even nonsense. - Lucky 6.9 06:23, 12 Jul 2004 (UTC)
Comment: Unsure. There are a few interesting Google hits that seem not directly derived from either the website or Wikipedia, eg World Belief Systems. Perhaps merge and redirect Aldeism to Deism? Delete the pseudo-user page. Andrewa 10:16, 12 Jul 2004 (UTC)
Delete: Neologism, fad. A religion begun on a website is very likely to bias a Google search, because its practitioners, such as they are, go off and do likewise (making websites). Any religion begun 4 years ago is going to be non-notable, IMO, unless it does something like announce a death sentence on Big Bird. The "distinctions" from Deism make it not Deism, since they're refutations of the two central types. Looks like a vanity religion. Geogre 13:40, 12 Jul 2004 (UTC)
