UK-bio-stub[edit]

Hi Gwil -

You made a small mistake with the John Marshall (British captain) article... for future reference, if you want to add a stub template to an article, simply type {{UK-bio-stub}} (or whatever the name of the template is) on the bottom of the article. Don't redirect the template to the article, or it plays havoc with all the other articles which are linked to the template (in this case a couple of thousand articles!) Grutness...wha? 02:30, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Answering «Concelho Paul tem acento?»[edit]

Dear Gwil, I posted the answer to your question/comment «Concelho Paul tem acento?» in my discussion page. Regards, --82.102.10.27 19:59, 16 August 2005 (UTC) Manuel de Sousa (in the Portuguese Wikipedia)[reply]

Conrad[edit]

I'm going entirely on memory, and I may be wrong. I remember a strip named Conrad, but I never read it or collected it. I tend to prefer adventure strips to most humor strips, though I do collect Peanuts, Pogo, and Popeye. Sorry I can't help. Maybe I'm thinking of a strip with a similar title. Could you take a look at Wikipedia:Copyright problems/Other and indicate at least whether my proposal concerning this article would be good enough? Thank you. Lupo 16:59, 18 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the problem has been resolved by now by rewriting the whole shebang. The proposal I referred to has been migrated to Talk:Districts of Ghana in the meantime, but has been overtaken by events anyway. It might still make for some interesting reading, copyright-wise... It would be interesting to hear what a copywright lawyer would have to say about this - first off, these are public entities along with public numbers (such as population, ISO codes, etc) that are being listed, and can be easily researched and replicated. I think if the wiki page looked EXACTLY like the page on Statoids, that would be an infringement. But to say that information on wiki is copyvio because of the "making money" statement, well, the page has a section for "buy data" AND for "donate". One should suffice in the possibility to know that a page is utilized as a standard of reference - that is, in itself, a strong compliment. Cheers! Rarelibra 14:46, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WSL[edit]

Thanks for sorting out all? my typos. Hope you found it a good read Motmit (talk) 20:00, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This has the info you want (pdf p. 13). And this isn't the only one regarding names for cities/district in Liberia. If you're doing much work on the topic these Community Development Agendas (CDA) are great and recent. Aboutmovies (talk) 03:24, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Melchizedek[edit]

You were quite right that "mounthful" should be "mouthful". It's amazing that it's been there for over a year with nobody noticing. SamuelTheGhost (talk) 22:21, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing out the mistake. I have corrected it. Chaipau (talk) 23:33, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you[edit]

Hi, I read about the recent "upheavals" in your life :-(
I just want to thank you for what you did with your site, I'm just not able to count how many times I used it as a reference upgrading divisions all over the "world" in it.wiki voices. I loved it, one of the most useful sites ever. I wish you and your family all the best. Thank you. --Civvì (talk) 18:12, 19 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I'm happy to read that. Keeping fingers crossed will worsen my editing but I'll do it :-) --Civvì (talk) 12:08, 20 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
