Seasons 1-9[edit]

I was looking at the pages for the seasons, and it seems that user Jknwilson has added inaccurate and excessive information on the respective wikipedia pages for seasons 1-9, and 1-4 of Degrassi: Next Class. He added a section for recurring cast, and guest cast, and ordered characters by the number of appearances they had in the season. However, they also moved some characters belonging under main cast to recurring cast, and vice-versa, based on his own judgment of their appearances. For example, on the season 1 page of Degrassi: The Next Generation, he added Linlyn Hue as Ms. Kwan under the main cast, despite being a recurring character for her tenure on the show. I wasn't sure how to revert the pages back to the old edits, which he started changing around March of this year. Hopefully someone sees this and can rightfully revert the edits and block him from re-editing again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.123.78.187 (talk) 23:58, 1 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Needs update[edit]

The article hasn't been fully updated to reflect the latest seasons since 2010. (t · c) buidhe 13:14, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Buidhe: A lot of Degrassi articles are very outdated, as if they were last edited when the show was still on the air, despite the franchise continuing to have a big following that would clearly oblige someone to update it. It's worse on the articles regarding the earlier shows; I've found hundreds and hundreds of sources for Degrassi Junior High, whose article basically consisted of four sources, probably 70-80% original research and cruft about pop culture references on Wheels and Spike's T-shirts (which is fascinating, but not in an encyclopedic way). I seem to be the only one actively going around and fixing/expanding/tweaking Degrassi related content (especially the older shows). I've seen some pages of Next Generation that still describe things in the present tense, some of which I've already fixed. I'm not sure if the Degrassi task force is even active anymore, but I think it could use a revival, especially in regards to coverage of the older shows. It's far from the only featured article that is not updated sufficiently. Thanks for your work in this area. (t · c) buidhe 09:53, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Featured article reassessment[edit]

This article was promoted to FA in 2008, but it looks like it hasn't been reassessed since then. While there are a majority of problems with encyclopedic tone and the like that can be simply fixed without a discussion, I would still prefer a review as it has been thirteen years since it became a featured article. If there are no responses to this discussion within seven days, I'm going to consider nominating it for a reassessment myself. ToQ100gou (talk) 07:19, 20 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of 13 categories on 18 January 2022[edit]

I opened a discussion at WP:MOSTV about the deletion of 13 categories on 16:17, 18 January 2022: Mass-deletion of categories. Not only do I believe this was a reckless use of the HotCat gadget, but its broad-brush use is ultimately harming articles. Pyxis Solitary (yak). L not Q. 13:18, 19 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
