[Untitled][edit]

Someone should collect the dates at which these various named notables each gave these lectures. A list of names (in chrono order? random order) isn't by itself very encyclopedic. Perhaps I'll do it myself this weekend.

The list would be great, User:Christofurio. Go for it, and please remember to sign your messages. --Blainster 06:44, 14 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Partial list done. Feel free to add anyone left out. --Blainster 19:55, 19 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Category[edit]

I think it'd be useful to put all of the people who've delivered the lectures into a category, Gifford lecturers. Any objections? Does the category name sound right? Please advise. Jacob1207 04:12, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That would be useful, but it would be more useful to have a list that did not stop dead at 2007.Peter Harrison gave the lectures this year a(February 2011). ACEOREVIVED (talk) 23:22, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The lectures are listed by place, and only then by date. Peter Harrison is listed under "Edinburgh". --Andreas Philopater (talk) 21:00, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Templeton Foundation playing fast and loose with Freeman Dyson's spiritual legacy[edit]

My most recent edit borders on OR, and I won't be surprised if it is quickly reverted, so I'm providing this permlink for future reference:

If this is an honest error on the part of Templeton Press (who at present maintain the main Gifford Lecture website), even then it's not a good one. — MaxEnt 22:22, 25 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

With additional book citation added for original lecture title (from my own yellowed hardcopy). — MaxEnt 23:07, 25 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
