Article is actually wrong[edit]

Since the Khruschev era, Mao and the Soviet Union were not on good terms, and Nixon later courted Mao. Many Soviets feared Chinese invasion during the '60s and '70s, and the Chinese were not part of the true Cold War which was between the Soviet bloc and the American bloc, rather than Communist and Capitalist countries in general.

Unsource[edit]

I'm removing 90% of this article if no sources appear soon. I mean, wow. Even stuff on the talk page is just ridiculous without evidence (Majahadeen wearing Chinese sneakers?)--Mista-X (talk) 02:19, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Euphemism of what?[edit]

[1] The article lead said that it was "a Cold War" euphemism, but failed to mention of what, only followed by "for the political demarcation between the Communist and non-communist states of East Asia". Because I'm not a native speaker of English, so I went to wikt:euphemism and see what the big word exactly means: (1) The use of a word or phrase to replace another with one that is considered less offensive, blunt or vulgar than the word or phrase it replaces. (2) A word or phrase that is used to replace another in this way.

So, it replaces something offensive, blunt, or vulgar, but what does it replaced? "The border between communist and non-communist states"? "Communist"? Can we change the wording? Bennylin (talk) 18:51, 18 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I agree it should be changed, probably to "term" or "political jargon" or to a direct comparison to "Iron Curtain." Since it's right at the top it should be discussed before it's changed. Tranquilled (talk) 02:56, 14 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguate from Bamboo network[edit]

This needs disambiguation from * Bamboo network, but I don't know how to do it.
