Untitled[edit]

I decided to put the article at "Battleship Deutschland" because the other two of this class are also under "Battleship", and rather than list her as "Battleship Lutzow" (a name she only held for a few months, before being re-classified as a heavy cruiser), I listed her under her original name. these two are totally unrelated! One was a "Deutschland" renamed into Luetzow, the other one, launched as Luetzow, was sold to USSR. AlexUki

She/He/It[edit]

Alrighty, I don't know about you folks, but usually ships are referred to as "she," not "it." So far as I know. This doesn't make sense[edit]

"As retaliation the sister ship Admiral Scheer bombarded Almería killing 19 civilians and destroying 35 buildings ([1]). The dead were first brought to Gibraltar and buried there but the bodies were exhumed on Hitler's orders and accompanied the Deutschland back to Germany for a large military funeral with Hitler attending". References in the Wehrmachtbericht[edit]

I removed the References in the Wehrmachtbericht section. Quoting primary source propaganda is not an appropriate way to write a Wikipedia article, and a mere mention such as "The armored ship "Deutschland", which has conducted trade war in the Atlantic waters since the war had broken out, returned home some time ago" is more of a brief news bite than any sort of honor. –dlthewave ☎ 22:22, 29 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose Goes against WP:NCS. Arguably German training cruiser Deutschland should be retitled German schoolship Deutschland as code 440 is so defined in the ship type listing, alternatively training should be omitted from the title and be dabbed by year of launch.
